Create a Dial-Up Connection in Windows 2000

To get started, click the Start Menu and select Settings, then Network and Dial-up Connections.


Now select Make New Connection.

Click on Next.

Select Dial-up to the Internet. Then click Next.

Choose I want to set up my connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network. Then click Next.

Select I connect through a phone line and a modem. Then click Next.

Enter the phone number as shown below. Then click Next. Make sure you check mark Use area code and dialing rules.

Now enter your User name and Password. Then click Next.

The connection name is Access Technology. Then click Next.

If you wish to set up your email account now, select Yes. Then click Next.
