Verify Your Dial-Up
Networking Settings.
- From the Start menu, click Connect To, and
choose your I-C.Net connection.
- Click the Properties button.
- Delete the contents of the Phone number field,
and type your new access number.
Remember to check
with your local telephone company to make sure that the
number you choose is a local toll-free call.
- Click on Networking. Under This Connection
Uses the Following Items you should have a check next to
Client for Microsoft Networks and TCP/IP. QoS
Packet Scheduler may be check as well and should not
interfere with your connection.
- Click on Settings and the only option you want a
check next to is Enable Software Compression. Once
changed click OK.
- With TCP/IP highlighted click on Properties. Both
Obtain an IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS
Server Address Automatically should be dotted.
- Click OK and then click OK again once
everything has been verified.
